update!

Well, exciting days here for us! I just got back from visiting my kids in Bloomington! Oh, how I miss Amy and the students. I'm not joking--I dont know why it is so hard for me to leave them. But, alas, they are doing well and I am still impressed with their talents and their sweet spirits. Some of them truly have hearts that are set on fire for Christ and that is so encouraging for me to see in a high school. I am praying so hard that they can bear fruit among their peers!

As for me, I am substitute teaching in the public schools around Watertown. It is a neat experience to say the least. I enjoy it because every day is different. I have done everything from early childhood to high school, from special ed to phys ed. I can honestly say that I am certain that the Lord did NOT lead me into early childhood for a reason! wow. But everything else has been going really great! I actually enjoy the kids, and am learning alot too. Then, big news for the Fall...(trumpet fanfare) I got a full time teaching offer for Maranatha's academy! I will be teaching speech, drama, and girls Bible. I'll also be directing their plays and coaching the volleyball team--and, teaching one class of speech fundamentals in the college! Crazy, eh? But God put together this awesome package for me with pretty much everything that I love doing! I'm extremely excited...and a little sad to know I won't be in Bloomington, but Amy and I already decided that we are "sister drama departments" and so we'll make it a point to see each other's productions!!!

Hooray, an update!
It was so nice having you here at CBA-it felt like old times (sigh)
I am super excited that you are going to be a "real" teacher next year. Isn't God good?! We tend to worry about our lives, but God has it all planned out way in advance!!
I can't wait to be sister drama departments, either! I see field trips, pen pals, matching sister drama departments T-shirts, tag team teaching via the world wide web. . .the possibilities are endless, Bobbi-ENDLESS!!
How's the Bible study going?! AMY

Glad that you have the whole employment thing secured. It is so hard for a hard working Lithuanian girl to get a job that is outside the kitchen! I will have to share some of the information I found about Lithuanian Christmas traditions. We had a Lithuanian Christmas one year and it was so fun! Some of the traditions are a little dark (let's face it, they were kind of oppressed for a few centuries), but it was interesting picturing old Great Grandma Janushewskis picking her piece of straw from underneath the table cloth on Christmas Day to see if she would have a prosperous year or a lean one. OK, I have to stop before I tear up.
I am so glad that Amy's friend has taken on me as her charity case as well.(Hee Hee) I am honored to have so many dramatic friends. I, myself, am not the least bit dramatic...

Bobbi, Bobbi, Bobbi. What can I say. I know that you wish that you were just as cool and funny as Amy and I. Don't lose heart! I know you are trying your best to come up with quick little puns like we do, but just keep in mind...we have had 29 years of practice together. I am posting another funny Amy and I story. Pay close attention. You may learn something.
Amy and I have the highest expectations for you and hope that you too will be as hilarious as we find ourselves. (Not sure how funny we are to others, but we really crack ourselves up!)
Your new blogger friend,
Shelly
P.S. Don't worry about stalking me. If Amy doesn't comment on my blog, than someone has to.
